London

After gaining power in Afghanistan, the bloody conflict among themselves has dealt a big blow to the Taliban . A British magazine has claimed that Taliban leader Hibatullah Akhundzada has been killed and deputy prime minister Mullah Baradar has been held hostage in the battle for the chair. This struggle for power took place between two factions of the Taliban. The magazine also reported that Mullah Baradar suffered the most in this feud with the Haqqani faction.

Britain’s magazine has told in its report that in the month of September, both the factions of the Taliban met. During this, an occasion also came when Haqqani leader Khalil-ul-Rahman Haqqani got up from his chair and started punching Baradar. Baradar was constantly pressuring the Taliban government to include non-Talibans and minorities in the cabinet so that other countries of the world would recognize the Taliban government.

Baradar was missing for a few days after this clash and has now been seen once again in Kandahar. According to the report, Baradar has met tribal leaders, whose support he has also got. However, pressurizing Baradar and issued a video message to him. The magazine claimed that the video indicated that Baradar had been taken hostage.

Regarding Akhundzada, it has been said in the report that it is not yet known where he is. He has neither appeared for a long time nor has any message been issued from him. In such a situation, it is being speculated that Akhundzada has died. Such a struggle for power had not been seen before in the Taliban. The Taliban and the Haqqani network merged in 2016.

Baradar’s attempt was to present a different image of the Taliban so that the world would recognize it. At the same time, the Haqqani network remains an advocate of suicide attacks. Khalil Haqqani, Minister of Refugees in Afghanistan, has been included by the United Nations in its list of terrorists.

There is also one aspect that Haqqani has a direct connection with Pakistan. Pakistan also wants Haqqani’s dominance in the Taliban government to make it easier for him to accomplish his objective.
