Kenya’s Criminal Investigation Directorate said 20-year-old Masten Milimo Vanzala confessed to killing at least ten children over five years and “sometimes” “sucking blood from their veins” before killing them. Police said he also gave some children drugs and later strangled them to death. He was first arrested on July 14, following the news of two missing children. He was kept in police custody but escaped on Wednesday before being produced in the court.
Villagers thrashed Vanzala to death after which some school children saw and recognized him on Friday, after which the local people searched him. He also managed to escape from the clutches of the people and entered a nearby house, but the family did not show any mercy to him and handed him over to the public.
